I'm feeling a little out of sorts today. I've been living the last couple of days without a sewing machine and without a credit card.  The sewing machine has gone in for repairs, oiling and cleaning, and I am totally lost without it. I started making the string blocks for my quilt, and I am eager to get them finished. It's so hard to do without a sewing machine.  The credit card deal is just as bad.  Someone made a fraudulent charger on my card, so the card has been cancelled, and I am awaiting the arrival of a new one.  Christmas shopping without a credit card is impossible.  I buy all my groceries with the card too, so the sooner the new one comes, the better.  Here's a picture of the progress I have made on the quilt.  I think it is looking good--not like anything I have made before.  I like trying new stuff, and already have plans for the next quilt.
