Two Baby Quilts

I finished two baby quilts this week. The first one is the pink quilt I started for Amy's baby before they found out they were having a boy. I went ahead and finished it, because I knew that if I didn't it would disappear into a box and remain unfinished for eons. It is made us of pink wonky stars on a white background. I hand quilted it and I will keep it for my first granddaughter.

After I finished the baby girl quilt I went to work on the boy quilt. It has blue shoo fly blocks on a white background. I hope little Benjamin (I think that will be his name) likes it. I have time to spare since it is all done but the label.

Yesterday I went to San Antonio and bought background fabric to use on a quilt I plan to make for Melanie and Jim. I'm not telling them about it though, because I don't know if I'll have time to finish it before their wedding on Feb. 12. Not much notice if they want something homemade. Then I have to get to work on quilts for Kim and Gavin, who have set wedding dates July 2 and July 23. I had better get busy.
